Common questions
Is my data sent to any AI service?▾
No. The AI only receives computed metric summaries and schema metadata — never your raw data. This is by design and is enforced at the architecture level.
What file formats are supported?▾
CSV and Excel (.xlsx, .xls) are supported in the current MVP. Database connectors (PostgreSQL, MySQL, BigQuery) are on the roadmap.
Can I self-host Insightly?▾
Yes — Enterprise plan includes Docker and Kubernetes deployment with full data residency in your own infrastructure.
What happens when I change a schema?▾
Schemas are versioned. Existing datasets and dashboards stay pinned to the version they were created with. Changing a schema never breaks existing work.
